It was funny I was talking to my trainer the other day and as he was running to the phone he said, “the phone has been ringing off the hook today!”

 

He is in his 20’s so I wondering if he even knew where that came from. It’s from a time when phone receivers were actually hanging on hooks and the bells inside would literally make the receiver shake.

 

What about when you were angry with someone and you slammed the phone down? Now with cell phones that’s very different. You just pound your finger on the phone I guess.
